New Feature – Version 5 General Ledger Report Designer and Apps
One of the exciting inclusions in the V5.1.12 Q4 2019 update is the new General Ledger Report Designer and Apps. For those of you that made it along to our Community Forum’s in November you would have seen the sneak preview. Here is the overview from our Perth Breakfast where Phil gave everyone in attendance a run down.
The key features of these include:
- A Trial Balanceapp to replace the legacy Trial Balance report.
- The Financial Report Designer which enables clients to create their own Profit and Loss and Balance Sheet formats.
- A Profit and Loss app to run the selected report and create multiple views
- A Balance Sheet app to run the selected report and create multiple views.
As with any of the enquiry apps in Version 5, you will be able to very easily output the selected view to Excel.
These new apps will appear in the General Ledger Enquiries and Reports menu folder below:
Once your update has been completed, the Trial Balance app will be available for immediate use. The GL Branch can be set to default to the GL branches if required. Please contact the LEVESYS Client Services Team to implement this for you.
GL Financial Report Designer
This update includes the new Version 5 Report Designer which allow clients to create their own Profit and Loss and Balance Sheet formats.
Your LEVESYS consultant will provide training on creating reports under normal support arrangements or can be commissioned to create the reports for you.
A reference manual will be supplied to guide you through creating new or editing the existing formats provided.
These views created in the Report Designer can then be selected in the following apps:
